Política de privacidade

Sem contas, sem telemetria, sem cookies. Aqui está exatamente o que o app e este site sabem — e não sabem — sobre você.

Última atualização: · Este documento é mantido em inglês; a versão em inglês é a que prevalece.

In short

Brewwery has no accounts, no cloud, and no telemetry. The app does not collect or transmit anything about you or what you install. This website counts page views without cookies and without identifying anyone.

There is no personal data for us to sell, share, or lose, because we do not collect any.

The macOS app

Brewwery runs entirely on your Mac. It has no analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts, and no cloud sync. Your settings, favorites, and operation history are stored in your own user library and never leave the machine:

  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.brewwery.app.plist — settings
  • ~/Library/Application Support/Brewwery/history.json — operation history
  • ~/Library/Application Support/Brewwery/favorites.json — favorites

The app makes exactly one kind of network request of its own: an update check against the Brewwery appcast on this website, which returns the latest version and its signature. That request carries the app version and the standard information any HTTPS request carries, such as your IP address. Automatic update checks can be switched off in Settings.

Everything else that uses the network is Homebrew doing what you asked it to do — downloading a package, for example. Brewwery also sets HOMEBREW_NO_ANALYTICS=1 on the commands it runs, so Homebrew's own analytics stay off for them.

This website

We use a self-hosted Umami instance for aggregate traffic statistics. It sets no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and builds no profile that follows you across sites. What it records is the page, the referrer, the country, and the type of device and browser — enough to know which pages are useful.

Links to the download, the documentation, and the repository carry UTM parameters (for example utm_content=hero). They tell us which button was clicked, not who clicked it.

The footer displays a badge image loaded from a third-party directory (saasbrowser.com). Loading any image means that server sees the request, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy. Nothing else on the site loads from a third party.

Downloads

The app is served directly from this website. Releases are also published on GitHub; if you download from there, GitHub processes the request under its own privacy policy. We receive no report of who downloaded what from either source beyond the aggregate counts described above.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies at all — no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no consent banner to dismiss because there is nothing to consent to.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and comparable laws you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data an organisation holds about you, and to object to its processing. We hold none, so in practice there is nothing to request — but if you believe we do, write to us and we will look into it and answer.

Questions about this policy: [email protected].

Children

Brewwery is a developer tool and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date. Because there is no mailing list and no account, this page is the only place the policy lives.
